TPI Hospitality Upgrades to UniFocus for Enhanced Labor Management Platform and Time & Attendance Technology

UniFocus, a provider of Workforce Management Systems, has announced the adoption of both its Labor Management and Time & Attendance platforms by TPI Hospitality. Serving as Minnesota’s largest developer and operator of hospitality-based businesses, TPI Hospitality has currently implemented Time & Attendance across its portfolio with Labor Management soon to follow and with both solutions planned for the Margaritaville resort under construction in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

As an organization experiencing rapid growth with approximately 40 properties situated as far as southern Florida, TPI Hospitality recognized that its existing workforce management platforms were unable to address the operational complexities of its diverse range of locations. With its Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach resort set to open in 2023, the company determined that UniFocus, with its enhanced capabilities in labor management, was the industry’s sole provider capable of maintaining high levels of productivity and service quality, as TPI Hospitality continues to expand its market presence.

“Within just our F&B operations alone, UniFocus has greatly impressed us with their ability to fully resolve our key needs in managing hotel staff teams, ensuring that our resources are always aligned to deliver on heightened guest expectations,” said Robert Kisabeth, COO of TPI Hospitality. “The company’s proven technology will no doubt play a central role as our portfolio continues to expand and as we strive to provide each of our guests with swifter and more responsive high-quality service.”

Key to the decision to partner with UniFocus is the provider’s ability to offer a solution capable of integrating with third-party platforms and leveraging advanced AI, not only automating the scheduling process but delivering granular insight into precisely where and when staff resources are needed. In contrast to the platform previously used by TPI Hospitality, Labor Management by UniFocus forecasts anticipated service demand levels, both by the hour and by department. This in turn results in the automatic designing of optimized work schedules, ensuring that each department always has the necessary resources to deliver exceptional guest experiences, while eliminating the risks of under- or overstaffing that can result in employee burnout or increased costs. By adopting UniFocus’ Labor Management solution, TPI Hospitality also streamlines hotelier abilities to effectively cross-utilize employees within hotels and across multiple properties in markets where they manage several locations. Capable of automatically identifying the individual skillsets of each employee, UniFocus technology stands apart in its ability to resolve potential labor shortage issues by appointing appropriately skilled workers to staff various departments as their respective demand volumes change.

“People are an organization’s most valuable asset, but ensuring that each employee is able to work to their full potential requires the support of labor management technology,” said Moneesh Arora, CEO of UniFocus. “We are thrilled that TPI Hospitality has already experienced a drastic increase in productivity, and look forward to seeing even greater results as we move forward with our partnership.”

With Time & Attendance currently implemented across its range of properties, TPI Hospitality has already begun to experience the efficiency-enhancing benefits that UniFocus provides. This includes providing employees with considerable time-saving abilities by allowing them to clock-in using their own personal devices, bypassing the need to first visit a backend office before beginning to work on daily tasks. Thanks to its ability to integrate with third-party systems, Time & Attendance also facilitates the ability to adopt same day pay and tip practices. Sidestepping what would otherwise take managers countless hours to achieve, the integration addresses a core concern of frontline workers who often have to rely on predatory lending services to pay bills. With UniFocus’ compatibility with a range of same day tip and payment platforms, TPI employees can look forward to  accessing both wages and tips as soon as a shift has been completed, resulting in heightened staff loyalty and dedication to providing exceptional service.
