TGI Fridays Partners with Conversable to Offer 24/7 Social Media Interaction
TGI Fridays said it partnered with Conversable to offer guests 24/7 interaction online. In collaboration with Conversable, Fridays will now be able to address common guest questions — such as finding their nearest Fridays — and converse with the guest including emoji responses via Facebook Messenger. Select restaurants will also offer online reservations via Facebook Messenger.
Looking ahead to Fall 2016, Fridays will work with Conversable to expand its online reservations capabilities and also to offer online orders via social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and Kik. The Conversable partnership will also be leveraged in the coming months as a mechanism for ordering Fridays for delivery.
"Fridays has always been dedicated to giving our guests a great 'In Here, It's Always Friday' experience, and we are enhancing our digital capabilities to expand how and when we can give guests that experience," said Sherif Mityas, vice president, strategy and brand initiatives at TGI Fridays. "Partnering with Conversable allows us to be on the leading edge of restaurant technology, interacting with our guests on their favorite social media platforms, offering reservations, and eventually taking online orders for both pickup and delivery via those social channels."
To spotlight its new commitment to digital, Fridays will host the first Facebook Live "Happy Hour to Go" at the end of this month, streaming live from the headquarters in Dallas and featuring their bartenders, fresh off of the World Bartending Championship semi-final competition in Texas.
