Sharis Restaurants Cuts Labor Costs with TMx Labor Solution

Shari's Restaurants announces that it is experiencing significant cost savings since implementing the latest version of the TMx enterprise labor management solution from TimeManagement Corporation.
Shari's Restaurants began experiencing reduced labor costs within several weeks of the first sites going live in November of 2008. Soon, managers at other sites started demanding that the TMx system be installed as soon as possible, so Shari's accelerated the implementation schedule and all sites were live in less than 45 days.
The TMx technology was chosen over other web-based solutions because of its strong back-office functionality and its proven ability to reduce labor costs. "Before, our restaurant managers spent hours and hours every three months manually preparing a master schedule," says Shari's VP of information technology Tom Matson. "Schedules are now done weekly in about 15 minutes, which allows us to adjust to traffic trends and schedule properly to our corporate guide hours, saving considerably on overtime costs." In addition, managers have been able to adopt the new technology quickly. Matson adds, "The field's response has been that this was the easiest technology ever rolled out."
