Saxbys Coffee Worldwide Standardizes Enterprise with MICROS e7

Saxbys Coffee Worldwide names MICROS e7, provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, as its corporate standard. Deployment to all its locations, including its 16 new locations recently acquired through the acquisition of Bucks County Coffee Company, has already begun.

The new solution includes MICROS e7 point of sale (POS) running on MICROS Workstation 5 touch-screen terminals at the shop level, and MICROS Enterprise Management Solution (EMS) at the corporate level for enterprise-wide menu maintenance. Corporate and franchise locations will also implement the MICROS iCare gift card and loyalty solution to work with the Saxbys Coffee Go Card, as well as the mymicros.net business intelligence solution. Currently, there are 35 Saxbys Coffee locations in the United States and the franchise is opening another 25 units in 2008.

MICROS e7 provides Saxbys Coffee Worldwide with solid POS functionality and advanced features such as the MICROS Workstation 5 touch-screen terminal, which runs on Windows CE .NET, offering a lower total cost of ownership over traditional PC workstations. Additionally, the menus at all Saxbys locations will be controlled by MICROS EMS, allowing the Saxbys corporate team to ensure brand and menu consistency throughout the Saxbys franchise system.

"A consistent, efficient enterprise management solution is critical for the Saxbys franchise system. Our ability to capture sales information and manage our menu across the brand is fundamental to building value and growing our customer base," says Nick Bayer, president and CEO, Saxbys Coffee Worldwide. "MICROS EMS now provides us with the power to efficiently and accurately manage menus across the country, saving our system money in the process; this is a solution that serves both the company and our franchise partners equally well."

"We are also impressed with the way MICROS iCare and mymicros.net allow us to better understand our customers' preferences while allowing us the capability to evaluate the success of our marketing campaigns," continues Bayer. "We now have the information necessary to make timely and critical decisions about our business and marketing strategy."
