Sandals Resorts Simplifies Supply Chain Ops Across Seven Countries with Management Module
With five brands and 24 properties in seven countries including Antigua, The Bahamas, Grenada, Barbados, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Turks and Caicos, Sandals Resorts International prides itself on providing amazing vacation experiences to its guests.
Sandals was challenged with finding a solution to how to manage various capital projects across all of their properties, as their current procurement system didn’t offer that capability. Unlike many hotel chains, each Sandals hotel has a different style of rooms and design. The designers needed a system to get approvals on their projects and track the shipments from third party shippers. Using BirchStreet’s Capital Budget Management module, Sandals can now accomplish their goals.
In addition to the Capital Budgets tool, BirchStreet is building a custom integration to tracking shipping for its projects. Currently the system tracks the project supplies from the original shipper to its jumping point in Miami, FL where supplies are consolidated. However, logistically, Sandals needs the ability to track the container to all the different islands, which complicates the many projects throughout their locations. Therefore, Sandals uses BirchStreet to simplify this complex supply chain process and manage their projects and approval workflows.
