Peninsula Hotels Rethinks Guestroom Locks

Peninsula Hotels has signed an agreement with Kaba, the provider of Saflok and Ilco electronic locks, to replace all guestroom door locks in all Peninsula Hotels. KABA will develop and implement an innovative solution that will allow the Saflok RFID wireless online locking systems to play an integral role in The Peninsula Hotels’ new door locking systems for the future.

 

“Commencing with our US hotels - The Peninsula Beverly Hills, New York and Chicago - The Peninsula Hotels’ partnership with KABA will extend our guest services across all hotel properties,” says Shane Izaks, general manager, information technology, for The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, parent company of the Peninsula Hotels. “KABA was the supplier with the RFID and online technical expertise to implement a project of this scope. The KABA electronic locking system will work as an integral part of a company-wide RFID system, adding value to the already luxurious Peninsula guest experience.”
