Park Regis Singapore Taps BNS for IPTV In-Room Entertainment System

The Park Regis Singapore in Singapore has deployed BNS' RoomWise IPTV in-room entertainment solution. RoomWise is a sophisticated in-room IPTV system that offers guests a wide range of movie-on-demand services and TV channels as well as an array of innovative features such as real-time flight information, hotel facilities information, picture-in-picture capability, YouTube, casual games, local maps and points of interest.

Based on the innovative Native Video Turnaround (NVT) technology, the system is designed to retain the maximum broadcast video quality from the original video source and has incorporated a comprehensive Electronic Programme Guide for users.

At the backend, RoomWise is connected to an IP network and is centrally programmed and controlled via an easy-to-operate management software that integrates seamlessly with the hotel's existing property management systems (PMS).

The 203-room Park Regis Singapore is the first hotel to open in Singapore under the Park Regis brand. It is owned and operated by StayWell Hospitality Group, one of the largest independently-owned hotel management groups in Asia-Pacific, with a network of over 25 hotels in the region including properties located in Singapore, Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.

The RoomWise IPTV entertainment system was deployed as part of a comprehensive IT and info-communications infrastructure system managed and operated by StarHub, Singapore's integrated info-communications provider. StarHub, a partner for BNS' IPTV in-room entertainment solutions, is also operating and managing Park Regis Singapore's Digital Signage system, and providing voice, Internet and broadband services for their guests.
