Panasonic Previews 3D Projection System at NRA
Panasonic Solutions Company, provider of collaboration, information-sharing and decision-support solutions for government and commercial enterprises is previewing a passive 3D Projection System (PT-PJ3D53) during the NRA SHOW 2011, in DIRECTV’s booth #1868.
This 3D projection package is perfect for public venues, such as sports bars and restaurants, as well as educational institutions, among many other corporate environments.
“Earlier this year, we projected the College Football Championship in 3D,” says Gene Rotondo, owner of Legend’s Sports Bar in Long Beach, California. “Our guests received a pair of 3D glasses and had an incredible game experience while watching the action on the silver screen. Panasonic created a new experience for the sports fans who got to see their favorite teams in action like never before.”
The offering consists of two PT-DW530U DLP projectors, a dual-projector stacking frame, a pair of circular polarizers, 100 pairs of circularly-polarized glasses, 133” diagonal silver screen, as well as additional components needed to setup the system. The Panasonic 3D Projection System relies on the two PT-DW530U projectors to transmit video to the screen and deliver a unique perspective for a specific eye. Each projector lens is attached to its own polarized filter. The viewer needs to wear glasses, which do not contain any electronic parts and use passive polarized filters. The value of passive systems is that facility owners and managers do not need to worry about the loss or theft of glasses, which are cost-effective and readily available in the market today.
The PT-PJ3D53 3D Projection System will be available in Summer 2011 through authorized Panasonic resellers, at an estimated MSRP of $24,999.
