Panasonic Certifies Telephone, Verizon IP Trunking Service Interoperability
Panasonic's KX-TDE100 and KX-TDE200 IP-PBX business telephone systems are now certified to work with Verizon's IP Trunking service. The certification enables enterprises using Panasonic's KX-TDE100 and KX-TDE200 IP-PBX products to more quickly and easily implement Verizon's IP Trunking service, which eliminates the need for TDM enterprise gateways or TDM cards and traditional public-switched-telephone-network (PSTN) premise interconnects.
This interoperability provides a more cost-effective communications solution for business. With productivity-enhancing applications, the Panasonic telecommunications platforms allow virtually anytime anywhere access to a myriad of business communications applications. The certification by Verizon confirms that Panasonic TDE 100/200 systems and Verizon IP Trunking service work together seamlessly, providing businesses with 30-200 employees a dependable solution when using Panasonic platforms with Verizon's SIP-based VoIP service.
Verizon IP Trunking provides direct SIP connectivity into an IP PBX eliminating the need for gateway equipment at the premise. It delivers features such as BEST (Burstable Enterprise Shared Trunks) which enables customers to share local and long distance trunks across their enterprise, providing unprecedented business efficiencies, and VoIP IP Enterprise Routing which enables more cost-effective business-to-business voice calls by eliminating domestic or international per minute calling charges for calls made between Verizon VoIP IP Enterprise Routing customers. IP Trunking is available in the U.S. and in 10 European countries including: Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the U.K.
Panasonic's optional Communications Assistant productivity software offers a range of useful features for KX-TDE 100/200 users, including presence information, which indicates the availability of co-workers, and instant messaging. Other features include VoiceMail Assistant, which makes it easy to manage voicemail via a PC, send messages as email attachments, integrate with Microsoft Outlook and third party databases and use a computer as a software-based phone.
