ODX Partners with Travel & Hospitality Businesses to Deliver Free Internet Access
ODX Pte Ltd. (ODX) unveiled an extensive list of partners that will debut on its blockchain-based data marketplace. Among the premier group is Booking.com, a worldwide accommodation site with more than 1.5 million properties, covering more than 140,000 locations across 230 countries and territories.
“Our mission is to empower people to experience the world,” said Vida Siason, Strategic Partnerships, Booking.com. “The challenge in emerging markets is internet access. Users aren’t online all the time. By offering Booking.com data free, we’re removing that barrier. Our users can reach us anytime, even when they have no mobile data plan. They can browse Booking.com as long as they want, whenever they want, without ever worrying about their mobile airtime credits running out. We’re excited to partner with ODX to take the friction out of travel and open up a world of adventure for everyone.”
Most consumers in emerging markets are offline much of the time. Mobile data is expensive, with most users only online 5 out of every 30 days. By removing the most significant friction to app use – no internet access – customers are more likely to use apps longer and more often. More time online leads to higher revenue.
ODX partners with multiple e-commerce companies inn a variety of categories. But specific to the hotel and travel industry are: Artemis Place Hotel, Booking.com, Biyaheroes, Hirna, Red Planet Hotels, and Zen Rooms.
Beyond wide partner support, ODX is backed by an impressive cast of crypto heavyweights including Andromeda, BlockTower, Wavemaker Genesis, Hexa, Pantera and Strong Ventures.
