Newmarket International Acquires Libra OnDemand, MTech
In one week, Newmarket International, Inc. announces both the acquisition of Libra Ondemand and MTech. The Libra deal gives Newmarket access to a leading cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) platform, while the MTech acquisition brings with it a software-as-a-service hospitality automation platform.
The purchase of Libra OnDemand fits into Newmarket International’s worldwide strategy to provide the most complete sales solutions across hotels and venues of all levels of complexity.
Says Jeff Hiscox, president and chief executive officer at Newmarket International, “The acquisition of Libra OnDemand is highly complementary to our existing solution set. Both Newmarket International and Libra OnDemand have recognized the benefits of delivering a true cloud-based delivery model on top of the Force.com platform from Salesforce.com.”
Gregg Hopkins, president of Libra OnDemand, says that the acquisition is a natural fit to combine teams and “bring to market new, innovative, and unrivaled cloud-based solutions for hospitality and our mutual customers. It’s also great to partner with the market-leader in hospitality groups and meetings." Hopkins will join Newmarket International and continue on a president of Libra OnDemand; the company will continue to maintain operations and service existing customers out of their headquarters in Celebration, Florida.
Meanwhile, the MTech solution, when integrated with Newmarket’s newest version of Delphi sales and catering, will give customers complete control for setting up workflows, measuring progress and evaluating labor usage.
Says Hiscox, “Our acquisition of MTECH will revolutionize the distribution of actions required to efficiently set-up, modify, and service events.”
Luis Segredo, president and CEO of MTech, will join Newmarket and continue on as president of MTech. He says the acquisition provides “a great opportunity for MTech to grow by leveraging Newmarket International’s industry leadership and presence and through expansion of MTech's products, services, and markets served.” MTech will continue to maintain operations and service existing customers out of their headquarters in Miami, Florida.
