2/27/2017
Mobile devices have become ubiquitous, dramatically changing consumers’ habits. The proliferation of tablets and mobile phones has created new opportunities to enhance customer service by enabling servers to offer faster order taking and hence, faster customer service. The MURTEC University session titled "Mobile-Focused Omni-Channel Strategies to Transform Customer Experience" will explore the key retail trends that are shaping consumer expectations in the restaurant industry and how restaurants are changing to enhance the guest experience.

Participants in this session will gain valuable insights that will help shape their mobile strategies and roadmap. During this workshop, participants will discuss the key components of developing and delivering an impactful mobile strategy including: Deciding when to build a mobile application vs. optimizing a website for mobile, understanding how to empower employees and enhance guest interactions with mobile devices, understanding what operational impacts of a mobile strategy will have on an organization, and identifying the future impact of mobile devices and mobile payments.

This MURTEC University session will be held on March 7 at 3:15pm and will be led by Scott Langdoc, vice president, BRP and David Naumann, vice president, marketing, BRP.

For attendees who want to learn more about launching a mobile app, Prakash Karamchandani, co-owner, Balance Grille and Jim Steinberg, director of enterprise partnerships, LoyaltyPlant will moderate a MURTEC University session titled: "Launching a Mobile App: 10 Mistakes that Can Ruin It and How to Avoid Them."

This session aims to help attendees who have dabbled in mobile but been dissatisfied with the results and are wondering what type of results a restaurant can actually achieve with its own mobile app. The session will present tips and tricks to attendees on how to launch a dynamic, engaging and SUCCESSFUL mobile app for their guests.
