Loews Snags Former Kimpton Exec to Lead Hotel Acquisitions and Development
Jack Adler, president and chief operating officer of Loews Hotels announces the recent appointment of Troy Furbay as executive vice president of acquisitions and developments.
Bringing more than 15 years in hospitality development to his new position at Loews Hotels, Furbay will be a member of the senior management team, serving on the executive committee and business strategy committee. Furbay is responsible for leading the growth and expansion of Loews Hotels within major marketplaces including the sourcing, structuring and closing of hotel acquisitions as well as leading all development projects.

Prior to joining Loews, Furbay held the position of senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Kimpton Hotels for the past nine years, where he played an instrumental role in the rapid expansion of east coast properties.À€Earlier in his career, Furbay spent time with MeriStar Hotels and KPMG in development positions. He started his hospitality career with Sheraton Hotels in 1990.À€
Furbay received his MBA in finance from Fordham University and currently resides in New York City with his wife and two children.
