Le Mirador Kempinski Becomes First Hotel in Swiss Market to Benefit from Swisscom Tech
Swisscom is bringing its globally recognized hotel services to Switzerland. The offering includes the design and management of digital hotel networks, a high-quality IPTV solution and broadband Internet services for hoteliers and their guests. Le Mirador Kempinski in Le Mont-Pèlerin near Montreux is the first Swiss destination to benefit from Swisscom's tailored hospitality solutions.
Resort Le Mirador Kempinski, which is to reopen on 1 July, is positioning itself as "one of a kind" among the region's 5-star hotels. Over the past ten months, the hotel has been upgraded with a modern CAT-5 data network: All suites are now equipped with extra large LCD screens to deliver Swisscom's interactive live-TV and video-on-demand solution in full-HD quality. "Our value proposition is to be one step ahead of the client's needs and expectations, which is of course also true of our guest room technology", says Eric Favre, general manager of Le Mirador Kempinski. "We have selected Swisscom because they offer us an integrated solution with impressive functionality for both Internet access and IPTV."
Swisscom offers a convergent set of solutions for the hotel's guest room, meeting room, public area and back-office. All solutions include design, operation and support and can be adapted to the hotel's specific service requirements. In the case of Hotel Le Mirador Kempinski, for instance, the TV user interface has been completely customized to reflect the hotel's brand and to allow the promotion of its own guest services. In addition to the wired infrastructure, a wireless overlay has been installed, making it more convenient for guests to connect to the Internet. Swisscom manages all solutions remotely and supports guests through its dedicated helpline in 8 languages.
Swisscom is in the process of targeting the entire Swiss hotel market. The company has already expanded its hotel-specific offering to manage telephony, IPTV and Internet access on a single, converged hotel network. Similar to its commitment to the finance and healthcare sectors, Swisscom delivers enterprise solutions for hoteliers to improve both operational efficiency and service diversity.
