Intelity Announces ICE Sapphire, New Partnerships Drove 2013 Success
Intelity is announcing one of its most successful years to date since it was founded in 2007. Four new global hotel brand engagements, new partners in Latin America, Africa and China and the introduction of the newest version of its trademark ICE platform – contributed to the company’s expansion and financial success throughout the year.
Several new hotels embraced Intelity's ICE in-room and mobile guest service software as a means of connecting with more digitally savvy travelers, who carry an average of three devices while away from home.
Intelity designed an industry first: a customized brand-level mobile technology platform for Conrad Hotels & Resorts that integrated with the loyalty program, enabling guests to log in from personal mobile devices with their loyalty program identification information to make room reservations, access personalized information about their stay, place requests and order hotel services.
The Conrad Concierge mobile platform also made Conrad Hotels the first brand to offer express check-in and pre-arrival requests to guests via their personal mobile devices across an entire hotel brand. Social sharing, express check-out, and post-stay communication capabilities were also key features of this ground-breaking mobile platform.
Internally, Intelity generated a 30-percent staff increase and the opening of four new office locations in New York, Chicago, Orlando and London to enhance sales, operations, and support available in these regions. The additional locations come as the company seeks to expand its global presence, particularly in the EMEA market.
The coming year will bring installations of Intelity’s newest technology, ICE Sapphire.
Released in November, ICE Sapphire introduced several new features:
New design options for guest facing applications
Alarm clock functionality
International radio stations
HTML5 version along with native iOS and Android versions
More than 40 discreet, certified integrations with hotel operational systems, including room controls and door locks
Intelity also focused on enhancements to guest room television services with strategic partnerships that enabled the ICE platform to be integrated with Samsung SmartTVs and Enseo set-top boxes. This provided guests with direct access to hotel services via their televisions, while also providing hotels with a more affordable and comprehensive digital guest services package.
