Jennifer Giusti, Director, HR Technology at Darden Restaurants, received the Top Women in Restaurant Technology – Innovator Award at MURTEC in Las Vegas.

Her colleagues’ credit Giusti for helping to apply technology, including the conversational AI recruiting platform Paradox, to restaurant company’s HR processes.

Giusti started her career in healthcare “where I was exposed to many different technology platforms across various business functions, including the human resources and payroll departments,” Giusti explains. “I was fortunate enough to participate in, and eventually lead, many projects that transformed the day-to-day life of thousands of users. During my tenure there, I learned that the way users experience a platform is just as important as the way it functions.”

Improving the Employee Experience

Giusti says she is “extremely passionate” about the user experience. “In the HR technology space, we use a variety of platforms, which allows us to create a great user experience, and I love brainstorming new ideas on how to simplify these processes and create a seamless experience for our users,” she explains.

Looking ahead, she says looking forward improvements in not only the guest experience platforms but also in team member experience platforms. “Team members expect their employers to provide the same level of technology that we provide to our guests and applicants, so this drives us to continuously look for new opportunities and ways to improve,” Giusti explains.

Reflecting back on her accomplishments to date, she notes the multitude of projects and the many different roles she’s played. “Each successful implementation had something that made me feel proud. With each opportunity, I have gained new insights, which ultimately help me develop a vision and strategy for our team’s next steps,” she says.

Receiving the Top Women in Restaurant Technology Award was a bit of a surprise to this HR and restaurant technology veteran.  “I am humbled and honored to win this award. I strive to get better with each experience, and this is an amazing way to be recognized for my passion,” she says.
