Join HTNG this Thursday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. Central for the webinar 'Access and the Hospitality Industry' with the American Foundation for the Blind.

There are over one billion people in the world with disabilities, and it is estimated that this community has over half a trillion dollars in spending power in the U.S. alone. To avoid missing out on this huge and growing market, it is crucial that the technology in the hospitality industry is not only accessible but also usable by the population.

In this presentation, the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) will discuss some of the basics of accessibility and usability and provide demonstration with some powerful assistive technology used by people with disabilities, including with what they are carrying around in their own pockets.

The presenters will also discuss the importance of accessibility and usability as it relates to the tech used in the hospitality industry, both customer-facing and used by staff, and demonstrate how this all fits within the regulatory environment as well as the strategic pillars of HTNG.

Presenters:

  • Darren BurtonSales Consultant
  • William ReuschelDirector, Client Services and Technical Development, The American Foundation for the Blind
