Horizon Hospitality & Three More Tap Aptech for Financial Accounting
Horizon Hospitality with three operating properties and two in construction, Duke University R. David Thomas Conference Center, 15th & L Investors in Sacramento, and the Kirkland Conference Center with 165 rooms operated by ARAMARK in Silver Springs, MD have added Aptech Computer System's Profitvue back office system for corporate and property financial accounting.
"Horizon Hospitality looked at several back office systems and selected Profitvue because it had the best hotel accounting functionality and was the easiest system to learn and use; both factors are essential to our operation," says John Hannan, chief operating officer of Horizon Hospitality. "Aptech's training and support are excellent and their team understands our business because they are all hotel people."
Profitvue may be implemented both as an on-premise solution, or an ASP hosted application. The Profitvue ASP hotel software solution promises to lower system expenses because Aptech hosts the application at its data center. Hotel operators require only a PC and Internet connection to manage all their property financials, corporate accounting, and reporting needs. Profitvue is used for enterprise back office accounting by more than 100 hotel companies operating more than 1,000 properties.
Profitvue is designed specifically for the hotel industry to easily handle single or multi-property and multi-company accounting, and incorporates accounts payable, general ledger, statistics, and financials. Profitvue gives users the tools to make well-informed hotel management decisions based on current, accurate operations data. Department managers and corporate executives benefit from Profitvue's integrated statistical and financial reporting. The system provides open database compliance (ODBC) within a scalable, client/server, open systems architecture and is available as an ASP service or on a licensed basis.
