HITEC 2015 NEWS: ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access App Provides Keyless Entry Solutions for Hotels Worldwide

6/19/2015
ASSA ABLOY Hospitality (formerly VingCard Elsafe) has introduced the ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access App, a skinnable solution with an off-the-shelf approach that will allow hotels worldwide to implement mobile access without the need for custom app creation or complex integrations. The app works with the same secure Seos ecosystem upon which the ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access solution was built.

ASSA ABLOY Hospitality’s Mobile Access App provides numerous benefits, including ease of implementation since no integration with third-party systems is required. Primarily designed for independent hotels looking to introduce a mobile access element to their property using VingCard locks, the Mobile Access App is an ideal solution that delivers a basic, secure, reliable user experience.

ASSA ABLOY Hospitality’s Mobile Access App automatically comes with Visionline integration, allowing guests to see and approve their reservation prior to check-in, or view details including type and room number. Integration with the hotels’ PMS for additional automation is available but not necessary in order to use the mobile solution.

Hotels may choose from two variations of the app. The basic app is a generic version, in which a hotel can use the administration portal to customize their digital key graphics that will then show in a “Passbook” inspired style. ASSA ABLOY Hospitality also offers a Software Development Kit, which makes it easy for a hotel to finalize the app with their own unique look and feel, and then publish it on App Store/Google Play as their own branded version.

In order to provide an even wider range of options, the ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access technology can also be integrated into a hotel’s existing branded app. In addition, ASSA ABLOY Hospitality has partnered with a number of third-party app providers through their Certified Mobile Access Partner program, allowing hotels with more complex mobile technology applications to integrate Mobile Access with other property systems and technologies. These alternatives provide hotels with the flexibility to seamlessly integrate the mobile key functions with any current or future hotel mobile platform.
