Harrison Group Resorts Hopes to Spread GDS Success to Two More Properties

Harrison Group Resorts has selected Utell Hotels & Resorts' Utell Connect for three properties, including The Flagship Oceanfront Hotel, Harrison Hall Hotel and a contract renewal for the Plim Plaza. The hotels, all located in Ocean City, Maryland, will benefit from connectivity to the four global distribution systems (GDS) and thousands of online sites via Utell Connect, as well as central reservations services from Pegasus Solutions.

The Flagship Oceanfront Hotel is a beach getaway situated at the end of the boardwalk in Ocean City within walking distance of the beach. The Harrison Hall Hotel is an oceanfront hotel located directly on the Ocean City boardwalk near amusements, shopping, marinas, restaurants and nightlife. The renewing Plim Plaza is a historic landmark on the Ocean City boardwalk.

"We've enjoyed the benefits of exposure via Utell Connect and hotelbook.com for the Plim Plaza since 2008," says G. Hale Harrison of Harrison Group Hotels. "It's a natural move to not only renew our Utell contract for the Plim Plaza, but to also add both The Flagship Oceanfront Hotel and Harrison Hall Hotel. The results are there."

In addition to connectivity to the GDS, the three Harrison Group Resorts properties will feature images, property layouts, room details and other descriptive content in Pegasus' Hotel Content Database (HCD). The HCD will allow the three properties to present rates and availability, and to vividly convey the hotel experience to online travel agencies (OTAs), corporate travel departments and tour operators.
