East Coast Wings + Grill, a growing casual dining franchise acclaimed for its wide variety of nationally award-winning buffalo wing flavors made-to-order with the freshest ingredients, announced the rollout of a new pay-at-the-table option for guests: FreedomPay.

Integrated with East Coast Wing’s + Grill’s current cloud-base point-of-sale system, FreedomPay delivers commerce solutions to address payment security, loyalty and incentives, real-time data capabilities, expected monetary value (EMV) functionality, among more.

“Our top priority is ensuring our customer’s safety,” stated Tom Scalse, COO of East Coast Wings + Grill. “By mandating pay-at-the-table, control of debit and credit card transitioning is left in the hands of the patron to ensure maximum security and limited risk of fraudulent activity. With that, the benefits of FreedomPay are two-fold and extend to our franchise partners by limiting liability and mitigating all charge-backs.”

The implementation of FreedomPay resulted in an entire technology reevaluation to ensure the brand’s IT infrastructure and technical systems remain state-of-the-art. The technology is currently in its beta test at the Burlington, North Carolina location and is expected to be implemented in all locations system-wide by the end of Q1 2018.

“Adopting innovative consumer-facing technologies is just another step to complete our brand reinvention East Coast Wings + Grill 2.0 and elevate our customer’s dining experience,” added Sam Ballas, President and CEO of East Coast Wings + Grill. “Credit cards will never leave our guests’ side, offering peace of mind that their card is secure, as well as an expedited payment experience. Well-received by guests thus far, we’re eager to debut FreedomPay to all locations system-wide.”

With more than 60 locations currently operating or in various stages of development, East Coast Wings + Grill plans to open an additional 11 locations in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia by year end 2018. Offering a franchise opportunity that revolves around strong unit level economics, franchisees can expect an initial investment ranging from $650,000 to $1,000,000.
