Diamondhead Beach Resort Installs Intelity's ICE

The DiamondHead Beach Resort on Ft. Myers Beach is currently installing Intelity's ICE, a new hospitality software solution. Intelity signed an agreement to be the luxurious, all-suite, oceanfront resort's self-service system provider. The ICE touch-screen interfaces will soon be in place in each of the suites to allow guests at the resort superior experiences from their very rooms and provide real-time operations monitoring to hoteliers.

The DiamondHead Beach Resort chose Intelity as a technology partner because they pride themselves in providing the highest level of service to their vacationing visitors, and ICE is the premier means of further expanding their effortless relaxation at this destination hotel. With ICE, the DiamondHead will have an opportunity to comprehensively discern the likes and practices of its guests. Such feedback can dramatically improve guest satisfaction and aid in strategic decision-making. ICE is an easy, automatic way to gain the ability to cater to a vacationer's whims and understand and track the specialized needs of guest segments.

In fact, Neil Hopgood, the resort's general manager, states his choice was simple, "Our guests come to unwind and escape, and we are thrilled that now ICE will allow us to cater to their leisure needs even after they check in. With ICE, we can inform guests of the host of opportunities available within the resort."

The DiamondHead Beach Resort has had so many repeat guests fall in love with vacationing there that they are even moving into the world of vacation ownership with the SunStream Vacation Club, which currently allows members to stay year after year in 31 select luxurious, home-like suites. The ICE system is another tool to help realize the opportunity for vacation ownership for visitors and add to the stay for invested Club Members.

The ICE concierge system includes full size touch screens in every guest room, all customized to the specific hotel and/or timeshare brand. Amenities are front and center for immediate guest exposure. Without picking up a phone a guest can make reservations at a spa or restaurant, arrange a taxi, room service, equipment rentals and any other special request. Non-invasive advertising can also be integrated into ICE, providing an additional revenue stream for the hotelier during these difficult times.

Another benefit motivating the DiamondHead Beach Resort to become an early adaptor is that ICE is being integrated into the resort's point of sale systems, including food and beverage, front desk PMS in addition to coordinating all the resort's on and off site amenities. In a matter of weeks, ICE's Quality Assurance feedback system will provide the DiamondHead Beach Resort with insight to more cost-effective operations to streamline productivity. Neil sees ICE as an invaluable way to plan for the future of the DiamondHead from budgets to staffing.
