Circus Circus Las Vegas Plans New Guest-Facing Tech
Broadband Hospitality (BBH), a preferred provider of unified technology solutions for hotels, has been awarded an agreement to design, install and support guestroom WiFi and DirecTV programming, and to design and launch the Circus Circus Las Vegas mobile app for guest Android and iPhones.
“The selection of BBH as our partner to introduce these important guest-facing amenities reinforces our commitment to delight our customer base,” stated Shana Gerety, senior vice president of operations at Circus Circus. “We know that our guests expect an ‘at-home’ level of television programming, WiFi bandwidth, and real-time access to property information and services, and this agreement enables us to deliver on that expectation.”
Circus Circus' move comes as hotels are rapidly embracing next-gen technologies that are considered 'hotel of the future' In just a few years, hotel technology that is considered cutting edge today will be standard operating procedure.
As a result of the agreement, Circus Circus will be able to deliver an enhanced high-definition DirecTV channel line-up to all rooms, including popular children and teen channels such as Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and TeenNick. In addition, Circus Circus’ in-room WiFi network will offer more bandwidth via the latest WiFi technology to support the increased number of “gadgets” that a family group brings to the property.
New Mobile App for On-Demand Services
A key third component of the agreement is the creation and delivery of a new Circus Circus mobile app, which will provide guests with a number of on-demand services and up-to-date information on their own mobile phones. For example, guests will be able to view dining options and menus, learn about entertainment and activity options, review their room folio, call property extensions, and receive real-time promotions and updates along with a number of other app features.
