Carlson Uses Birch Street Systems to Manage eProcurement During Renovation

Carlson Hotels Worldwide has begun a major brand renovation project in more than 250 of its properties in North America. In order to manage the purchasing and project management processes for the roll-out of the brand's new interior design upgrade to the Country Inns and Suites, Carlson has selected Birch Street Systems' e-Procurement platform and Capital Projects module.

Carlson will utilize Birch Street's hosted e-procurement software to track and manage Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) purchasing and the Capital Projects module to manage the renovation project.  Birch Street's capital projects module is the industry's first e-Procurement solution that integrates project management functions specifically to track major, multi-property hotel renovations.

The software will allow all Carlson Hotels to use one online portal to conduct all procurement activity, and will allow top-down control over all elements of their procurement process, including decisions on products, brands, suppliers and procedures.
