Cape Town Hotel Debuts Guest App

The One&Only in Cape Town introduced the ALICE guest application at its hotel.

ALICE stands for "A life-improving customer experience" is a free app that has been designed to provide communication between guests, resort staff and management in real-time.

According to the One&Only, the app is a platform that guests can use to communicate with the staff of the resort. The app has been personalized for the resort.

The app allows guests to browse restaurant menus, make reservations or order in-room dining. Guests can also include details like dietary requirements, delivery times and other preferences using the app too.

Guests can also use the app to access spa& fitness information and menus as well as information about the resort's retail and Shimansky outlets. Information about the hotel and access to TripAdvisor is also available through the app.

Guests can download the app from all the major app stores or they can use aliceapp.com. The One&Only also has their own mobile smart device called handy and it is placed in every guestroom.

The handy device offers guest wireless internet anywhere in Cape Town, travel tips and information, free local and international calls (to certain countries) and users can have the resort concierge on speed dial.

ALICE is pre-loaded on the handy device which allows users to access ALICE and keep in touch with the resort throughout the day no matter which part of the city they are in.

Hotel guests can communicate with the hotel from around the city through text message. Guests can use the messaging service to tell the staff at the hotel to book a table for them at a restaurant or ask the resort staff to deliver coffee to their room.
