Bakers Delight Holdings Deploys xchangexec Across 720+ Locations
Bakers Delight Holdings, after an extensive evaluation process, has selected the xchangexec suite of software Task Retail Technology (Task) to be deployed across 720+ bakeries in Australia, NZ, Canada and the US.
Bakers Delight identified a requirement to replace its existing legacy POS system which had been in place for many years with a new enterprise solution for all bakeries to be implemented in tandem with a multi-faceted network, payments system and hardware upgrade.
“Bakers Delight conducted a detailed and thorough RFP process in search of the latest cutting edge software with some imperative pre-requisites, namely an enterprise architecture, large scale scalability, superior functionality and a system with the capacity to take advantage of the emerging mobile and wireless technology space,” said Joanne Stubbs, CIO, Bakers Delight Holdings. “Task’s xchangexec superseded all others in the market and the Task Company was also selected as the best cultural fit for our organisation. We are looking forward to a long and rewarding partnership, working closely with Task on this project which will no doubt result in great benefits for our franchise partners and for head office.”
Stubbs will be seen onstage at MURTEC 2016, leading a session titled, “Digital Change Management: What One CIO Learned About Disruption During a System-wide Overhaul.” Stubbs, CIO at Bakers Delight Holdings, Australia’s most successful bakery franchise, will share valuable first-hand insights about her experience in change management. She’ll share how her organization shifted to new providers for POS, payments and hardware, without getting bogged down in a data migration, all while creating minimal disruption for the brand’s 700 bakeries across four countries. Stubbs will also share what she learned about POS system trends as a part of the vendor vetting process, and as a bonus will offer a few tips on change management for tap-and-go payment, which is the standard in Australia.
MURTEC 2016 takes place March 15-17 at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
