From Agony to Ecstasy: Learn How to Implement Large-Scale IT Projects During #MURTEC

Last year, #MURTEC introduced MURTALKs, concise 20-minute presentations that deliver big insights. On March 8, 2017, Stephanie Nardini, senior director of IT, Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, will deliver one such MURTALK as she describes the agony, ecstasy, risks and rewards of going all-in with a large-scale technology project in her presentation titled: "Thinking Big with IT: Implementing Large-Scale Projects."
 
She will illustrate how to take a company-wide initiative from inception to successful implementation, all while navigating proprietary technology, vendor partners and multiple stakeholders. Nardini will use case study examples of projects that the fast-growing franchise has recently implemented to show how the bigger the undertaking – the bigger the benefits.
 
Nardini joined Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Inc. in 2014. At the time, she was the Database Administrator for the 750+ location fast casual franchise company, responsible for all aspects of a complex SQL Server 2012 Merge Replication environment.
 
Today, with more than 1,200 open locations, she is responsible for the design, development, deployment and support of all IT-related software and systems. This includes a custom Point of Sale system and other integrated services for the franchisees and the franchisor.
 
Her background includes more than 10 years in the IT profession, primarily as a database administrator, architect, and developer. Stephanie’s favorite Jersey Mike’s sub is the #7 served Mike’s Way.
