World Cinema Launches New LG Set Top Box with WorldVue
World Cinema, an innovator of in-room entertainment experiences, announced the release of the STB-5500 Ultra HD Set Top Box with WorldVue. The newest set-top box from LG with WorldVue empowers hotel guests to enjoy modern entertainment experiences any way they prefer. Guests can cast video from their smartphones, watch personalized streaming apps on their hotel TV screens, enjoy live TV and use a host of additional smart apps in 4K quality.
The STB-5500 with WorldVue is developed with space for additional hardware and upgrades such as a cable modem for IP-over-coax installations. The box also offers the future capability to improve Wi-Fi connectivity for guests by acting as a soft access point for personal devices.
There are additional hardwire connectivity options with the STB-5500 that improve compatibility with the hardware hotel owner/operators already have in place. The box offers ports for Optical Digital Audio Out, HDMI In/Out, Composite AV IN, USB, LAN, RS-232, MPI/MTI television control interfaces.
