When I Work, a provider of hourly workforce management SaaS (Software as a Service), has hired Martin Hartshorne as CEO and will lead the company through its next phase of growth.
Hartshorne has more than 20 years of experience in workforce management solutions for hourly teams. He will also join When I Work’s board of directors. Company founder Chad Halvorson, who has been the company’s CEO since 2010, will now serve as When I Work’s first-ever Chief Experience Officer, focusing his efforts on driving a unified brand experience across all customer touchpoints. Halvorson will also chair the company’s board.
Hartshorne previously served as Chief Strategy Officer of Ultimate Software, where he spent six years as a leader helping grow the company from $350 million in revenue to $1.3 billion and more than tripling the number of employees worldwide.
