Waitr Teams Up With Shift4 to Offer Harbortouch POS to Restaurants

Waitr said it expects to integrate its delivery services directly into Shift4’s software in 2022 to offer a seamless restaurant experience.

Waitr Holdings Inc. formed a new strategic partnership with Shift4 to offer the Harbortouch point of sale (POS) system to Waitr’s 26,000 restaurant partners across the nation.

Harbortouch is a dedicated restaurant POS system and is available with no upfront costs, thanks to an innovative POS-as-a-Service business model. Waitr will now be able to offer this “free” POS solution to its customers, including state-of-the-art hardware, premium software, custom programming, professional installation, onsite training, and 24/7 customer support.

Founded in 2013 and based in Lafayette, Louisiana, Waitr operates an online ordering technology platform, providing delivery, carryout, and dine-in options. Waitr, along with Bite Squad and Delivery Dudes, connect local restaurants and grocery stores to diners in underserved U.S. markets. Together, they are a convenient way to discover, order and receive great food and other products from local restaurants, national chains and grocery stores. As of September 30, 2021, Waitr, Bite Squad and Delivery Dudes operate in small and medium sized markets in the United States in over 1,000 cities.
