Top Three ‘Best US Hotels in 2018’ Rely on dormakaba Electronic Locks

The U.S. News & World Report 2018 ‘Best Hotels’ list is out, and the top three hotels in the publication’s U.S. ranking are the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Peninsula Chicago, and The Langham, Chicago. All use dormakaba electronic locks for reliable, secure guestroom access.

John Washington, director of safety and risk, said, “Guest safety and service are top priorities at The Langham Chicago. The Saflok software behind our guestroom electronic door locks is extremely useful to ensure we provide our guests with the best experience. We can easily pull lock status reports so we know in advance if a guestroom lock has an issue. This allows us to troubleshoot the lock so the guest has a comfortable stay. The RFID technology also provides an ease of room access for our guests.”

Half of the top 20 properties on U.S. News & World Report’s global ‘Best Hotels’ ranking for the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe are dormakaba clients. U.S. News & World Report scored luxury hotels (four-star and higher) using a methodology that combines each hotel’s industry awards with expert and guest reviews.
