Tech-Savvy U.K. Hotel Opens NYC Location on Micros Platform

The progressive and tech-savvy U.K.-based hotel company YOTEL is opening a new location in Times Square New York. The company will leverage MICROS Systems, Inc. property management, central reservations and cloud-based GDS.
The new YOTEL New York Times Square, which opened in June, was designed to be transformable with convertible spaces that possess a warm, futuristic, and technology savvy feel. The hotel features 20,000 square feet of flexible entertainment space including the largest hotel terrace in the city.
To manage and market this new property, YOTEL has implemented a completely integrated MICROS solution including CRS to manage hotel distribution on GDS, MICROS Channel Manager for direct 2-way interface with major Online Travel Agencies such as Expedia or, and MICROS OPERA Property Management System, with OPERA Kiosk module to allow for guest self-check-in and check-out.
