SmartHOTEL Chooses HotelREZ as Preferred GDS and Booking Engine Partner
HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts (HotelREZ) announced a new partnership with SmartHOTEL, a Netherlands-based hospitality technology provider. The partnership between the two hospitality providers follows the successful development of a seamless 2-way connectivity between the Smart Channel Manager, PMS connector and HotelREZ's central reservations system (CRS).
With a secure interface between the two systems, hotels are able to automatically exchange all crucial information such as inventory availability, room rates and guest profile data in real time, thereby providing greater accuracy of hotel availability and pricing, and more importantly, eliminating the need for revenue managers to update two different systems.
Furthermore, this newly built interface enables SmartHOTEL customers to distribute their rates and inventory to travel agents who use the Global Distribution Systems (GDS), as well as millions more bookers worldwide whose websites are powered by the GDS. SmartHOTEL customers choosing to enable the GDS channel will also benefit from a list of value-add services, provided by HotelREZ, including corporate RFPs generation as well as valuable preferred agency partnership agreements. GDS distribution will be conducted via the representation company's own HO chain code.
SmartHOTEL will also be providing their customers with REZBooker, the HotelREZ Booking Engine solution. It is a feature-rich hotel booking engine optimised for all devices from web, to tablet and mobile. Designed to help independent hotels and small chains convert online shoppers to hotel guests, and deliver real-time confirmed reservations, REZbooker is available in 26 languages and multiple currencies, seamlessly integrates with the hotel's website design, and is packed full of configuration options, providing hoteliers with total flexibility and control.
"Both our companies share a common interest in helping independent hotels and hotel chains with solid technology solutions, and this was a key factor in choosing HotelREZ as our preferred GDS and booking engine partner. This partnership will enable our hotel customers to easily access key markets, that they would not otherwise have access to," said Pitrik Van der Lubbe, Founder of SmartHOTEL.
