Sheraton Philadelphia University City Upgrades to SuiteLinq V5 Desktop

7/1/2011
The Sheraton Philadelphia University City has signed a five year contract extension with SuiteLinq, Inc. that includes an upgrade of all 318 guest rooms with SuiteLinq's new V5 Desktop product. The Exton, PA-based provider of integrated content, connectivity, and commerce solutions for the hospitality industry originally installed its SuiteLinq Desktop product at Sheraton University City in May of 2006. Following years of positive customer response, the hotel recently inked a deal with SuiteLinq that will continue to equip each guest with the most feature-rich in-room interactive service in the industry.
Deployed on a thin-client, touch-screen monitor equipped with standard keyboard and mouse, SuiteLinq V5 Desktop's intuitive interface enables guests to easily access a broad array of interactive services and content specifically geared toward the interests of travelers, including:
  • Hotel amenity information and promotions
  • Local area guides
  • Internet access and Bing search
  • Room-service menus and ordering
  • Restaurant reservations
  • On-demand entertainment, games, and music
  • Local weather conditions
  • Airline flight information
  • From-room document printing
  • Microsoft Office software
  • USB device access
  • Direct messaging from hotel staff
According to general manager, Ken Kapikian, the decision to continue offering SuiteLinq at Sheraton University City was an easy one. "Since we installed SuiteLinq in 2006, we've seen overwhelmingly positive guest response and ROI from increased occupancy rates. Guests really value the service and it differentiates us significantly in a very competitive local market. We're looking forward to offering the latest version of SuiteLinq Desktop to our very tech-savvy guests."
