Sandals' IT Weapon for Driving Guest Service: Turn to Your PMS

Sandals Emerald Bay in Great Exuma, Bahamas, has selected the Visual One Property Management System and the DataMagine document management solution, both by Agilysys, to streamline operations and enhance guest service at the 183-room luxury resort.

The Visual One Property Management System is a comprehensive property management solution that offers a wide range of features and functionality, including front office operations, guest history, housekeeping, reservations management and more. Its user-friendly screens are laid out in an easy-to-use format with quick-feature icons and drag-and-drop capabilities. The solution, which runs on a Microsoft SQL Server database, has modules for accounting, club management, comp accounting, condo accounting, guest marketing and sales and catering.

The DataMagine document management system is a patented solution that automatically captures, indexes and archives all business-critical documents and reports. The property is using the DataMagine Signature Capture module to digitally capture guest signatures at check-in. Signatures are stored for future online retrieval, enabling quick settlement of disputes and eliminating costly write-offs. The module also allows guests to swipe their own credit cards, helping to eliminate fraud and identity theft.
