Posiflex Launches Next-Gen KS Series POS Terminal
Posiflex, a provider of Point-of-Service (POS) terminals and related technologies for enterprise applications worldwide, introduces its KS6600 Series of fan-free POS terminals featuring a VAR-inspired improved design for easy installation and service, and leading-edge connectivity capabilities to increase the speed and customer satisfaction levels at checkout. Based on input from VARs through a number of customer surveys, the KS6600 Series truly sets the new standard in POS terminals.
A key feature is the new front-panel pull-out SATA Hard Drive on the newly improved base design. Acomprehensive set of legacy ports including a CF Memory Card Slot, 4 DB9 Serial Ports and 6 USB Ports, two of which are conveniently located on the side of the display, was also added.
Powered by a 1.5GHz Intel Celeron CPU with 1MB of Level 2 cache and DDR2 RAM, the terminals can handle the most demanding customer software applications. In combination with enhanced CPU performance, the KS6600 Series' low power consumption allows companies or divisions to meet corporate mandates related to the deployment of energy saving systems and devices.
Posiflex also offers the most complete line of certified peripherals, bundled for a uniform installation look and feel and optimized for true plug-and-play applications running on the Microsoft Windows Embedded for Point-of-Service (WEPOS) software platform. Peripheral connectivity is easy using WEPOS and built-in driver support for Unified Point-of-Service (UPOS), offering the customer a seamless installation experience and delivering low life-cycle costs for POS systems.
This series offers 15" resistive touch screen available in popular wall mount configurations. Digital signage opportunities can also be leveraged with the Posiflex LM6000 Secondary Display. In addition to the advanced technology used in the design of the KS6600 Series terminals, Posiflex offers a unique ability to privately label the terminal with an illuminated company logo displayed on the front bezel.
