Multiple Properties Choose Managed Video Service
Sage Hospitality Resources and Vacation Resorts International announce the utilization of Envysion Video, a managed video as a service (MVaaS) offering. In an effort to improve profitability and enhance customer experience, it is expected that Envision will provide remote access to on-site video that is tied to business applications, such as point-of-sale (POS) systems and security access.
Each of Sage Hospitality's locations has different needs and is able to leverage Envysion Video for their own specific purposes. Representative applications include keeping an eye on the front desk; monitoring parking lots; and, focusing on loss prevention at various hotel bar cash registers. For each location, Envysion enables the general manager of the property to monitor the site from anywhere on the Internet. According to Sally Brand, senior risk services administrator for Sage, the company has installed Envysion Video in nine of its properties, with five more on the near horizon. "Nothing gets built without Envysion now," she says.
Vacation Resorts International (VRI) is one of the nation's leading independent timeshare resort management firms. In early 2008, VRI selected Envysion Video as its preferred provider for its member properties because it is easy for board members to log in and see the status of several properties in a short amount of time. For example, they can assess maintenance and cleanliness of facilities by virtually visiting the properties online. Skier's Edge in Breckenridge, Colo. was the first of VRI's sites to launch Envysion Video. "We only had the system installed for a couple of months and caught two incidents on camera," explaines Mathias Cox, regional director of resorts for VRI. "It definitely provides peace of mind, being able to see what's going on even when you're not there."
