"Most Trusted" Travel Site Foiled by Hackers

3/29/2011 is the latest organization to fall prey to hackers who made off with the popular travel site's member e-mail list, reports Nate Cochrane of SC Magazine.
In an e-mail purporting to be from its chief executive officer Steve Kaufer sent to customers on March 24, the site that bills itself as the "Most Trusted" said the list was stolen over the prior weekend, and that it has since closed the source of the vulnerability. But it did not say what the vulnerability was or what it did to ensure it didn't again leak its customers' personal information. Law enforcement agencies were alerted, TripAdvisor said.
