Sakshi Tulsian Co-Founder, POSist Technologies

Sakshi Tulsian oversees the revenue growth and leads all the global go-to-market efforts for this cloud-based POS software company. She also has been a key contributor in building the technology roadmap. In the past year, POSist launched three key solutions to assist restaurants: a QR code ordering solution, an online ordering for restaurants and cloud kitchens to enable direct-to-consumer channel, and the POSist Marketplace, which offers 150+ integrations with a single-click activation.

It all started about 9 years ago when Tulsian, then a web developer, followed her passion for food and co-founded a restaurant. "It was after investing in the restaurant that I understood the complexity of running it and the challenges that we experienced led us to build a scalable and easy-to-use cloud-based POS for managing restaurants." POSist was launched in 2012.

Tulsian expects to see more cloud kitchens as restaurants continue to launch virtual, delivery-only brands. Direct-to-consumer channels including websites, social media and messaging platforms that allow restaurants to set up their own digital storefront will become more mainstream; these allow restaurants more control over the guest experience and open new revenue streams.

“In the future, the industry can expect to move from digital transformation to automation,” Tulsian explains. “The role of robots in food preparation and delivery may soon become a reality in restaurants.”

"I am extremely honored to be selected as a Top Woman in Restaurant Technology by such a prestigious platform. When my co-founder Ashish Tulsian and I started POSist about 9 years ago, our mission was to make restaurants efficient and profitable as we had experienced the complications of running a restaurant business first-hand. Achieving such recognition from the industry motivates us to move forward with more conviction."
