Miami-based Swire Hotels Property Debuts Mobile App for Guests

9/6/2017

TripCraft said it has delivered a game-changing guest app for EAST, Miami, the first Swire Hotels property in the United States, located in Brickell City Centre in Miami, Florida. The app, called EAST, Miami, is available for download for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and offers convenient, mobile tools for guests staying at the modern 352-room property.

Under the direction of Mihai Bote CHTP, Director of Technology at EAST, Miami, the property prioritized the development and implementation of sophisticated technologies throughout the property to ensure that guests have the best possible experience, starting with booking all the way throughout their stay at EAST, Miami. The app is an integral part of the hotel’s technology, and it provides features and functionalities that are typically only found in large brand apps, including mobile check-in and mobile key, as well as offering curated information about the property, the destination and local attractions. These core components and features enhance the digital profile of EAST, Miami even further, and offer never-before-seen features to guests who are looking for a modern, high-tech hotel experience.

“Embracing innovation and technology has always been one of Swire Hotels key tenets; we recognize how much better our guests’ experience will be if we make it easy to do everything via their mobile devices - especially for Millennials, and those of us who like to think we are tech savvy like the Millennials,” said Giovanni Beretta, General Manager at EAST, Miami. “In addition to making check-in and unlocking guest rooms easier, the app has helped us decrease our property’s ecological footprint, as we have eliminated the unnecessary paper and waste.”

Typically, only large brands have the budget or capabilities to achieve a comprehensive native mobile app; however, TripCraft’s robust platform, customizable mobile tools, and in-house development team has leveled the playing field to enable properties that don’t have an internal development team, such as EAST, Miami, to offer guests sophisticated mobile functionality.

“We chose TripCraft due to their extensive experience developing beautiful and innovative mobile apps for leading hotels across the world, combined with the ability to integrate their solutions into our pre-existing operational software,” said Bote. “Integration was of particular importance with this app because, for it to work successfully, the app had to interact with seven different systems – from different vendors.

In the near future, additional app functionality will be added, including in-room controls, service messaging and mobile check-out. TripCraft will expand their partnership with Swire Hotels in the coming months.
