MarineXchange Software Names New Chief Operating Officer
According to Cruise Industry News, Andreas Hafellner has been appointed to the role of chief operating officer at MarineXchange Software (MXP), the enterprise software platform for the cruise industry.
Based in Graz, Austria, Hafellner will oversee the development of the company's enterprise tools that helps cruise operators to provide a superior guest experience, increase revenues and streamline operations, according to a company statement. Hafellner will report to MXP Managing Director Hannes Lindthaler.
"I'm looking forward to my new role at MXP. The company's cutting-edge software suite is second to none. With the cruise industry's expansion, it's an exciting time to work with our cruise line partners on the next generation of modules" says Hafellner. "We will be adding artificial intelligence, big data, business intelligence and localization via Bluetooth and WiFi."
The MXP enterprise platforms is a complete software suite for cruise operators. Hafellner joins MXP from payment processing company Wirecard. There, as head of development for Central and Eastern Europe, he oversaw large groups of developers and worked with the latest technologies.
Before MXP, he also held various senior positions at Knapp, IVM/NTE, and was working on worldwide projects in Russia, Mexico, and South Korea.
"We want to implement the use of the latest Industry 4.0 technologies and the most recent changes in requirement due to the EU's Payment Service Directive (PSD2), which are just a few of our targets for our future," Hafellner adds.
