M Resort and Spa to Build Wireless Technology into Las Vegas Location
The M Resort, Spa and Casino teams up with Sprint and MobileAccess to add wide-ranging, wireless technology to its Las Vegas infrastructure. The resort is incorporating enhanced communication technology during its construction phase to ensure that guests and employees receive optimum levels of service.
Sprint's Converged Network Solutions (CNS) team will deliver a universal communications system for M Resort, allowing integrated access to wireless voice and data services, mobile phones, BlackBerry devices, PDAs and laptops throughout the resort. "The M Resort management team has been working with Sprint and MobileAccess for some time to develop the right program to fit our property needs. We look forward to continuing this rewarding partnership," said Joseph A. Magliarditi, chief operating officer and executive vice president of M Resort.
The M Resort has a footprint of nearly two million square feet, including 92,000 square feet of gaming and 60,000 square feet of meeting and conference space situated on 90 acres of land. The Sprint CNS in-building solution will bring seamless, always-on, wireless coverage to individuals visiting or working in different parts of the vast facility, which will include 390 guest rooms and suites, restaurants and the resort's spa and gaming areas. The systems will ultimately contribute to M Resort's goal of utilizing advanced technology features to provide the highest level of luxury services and amenities to its guests.
Sprint CNS selected the MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network as its in-building wireless platform for distributing multiple wireless services throughout the M Resort property; both in the front- and back-of-house areas. In addition, the Universal Wireless Network will provide pervasive coverage for the two-way radios used by fire, police and other first responders, which is an advanced measure used to assist in public safety.
The MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network will serve as the single wireless infrastructure for M Resort, supporting multiple wireless services, applications and devices, despite dense building materials that traditionally impede wireless transmissions in large-scale luxury buildings. With its "Wire-It-Once" architecture, MobileAccess also provides the built-in flexibility to accommodate future wireless requirements.
