John Paul Acquires Shuffle to Provide Faster, More Customized Luxury Concierge Services

John Paul, a digitally-enabled global concierge service owned by AccorHotels, acquired Shuffle, a data aggregation and data processing company that finds, filters and enriches content to power stronger concierge experiences to its client corporations in the banking, luxury, automotive and hospitality industries. Shuffle’s proprietary tools will support a greater quantity and quality of recommendations and allow John Paul’s 1,000 concierges worldwide to provide faster, more personalized service. Integration is underway and reflects just one piece of John Paul’s industry-leading, technology-driven content library that supports its international operations.

Adding Shuffle’s unique technology represents an important milestone in the concierge business, which historically has relied on very manual efforts that can be difficult to scale. Shuffle will further boost John Paul's artificial intelligence and predictive data mining capabilities, providing its concierge customers with highly-personalized recommendations, more helpful descriptions as well as information on upwardly trending hotspots and prized locations. The acquisition of Shuffle will also help scale John Paul's U.S. growth in exciting ways, quickly building the database of resources it needs to serve this new geography comprehensively.

Shuffle is a robust application that can process large amounts of data, a benefit that will provide instrumental value as John Paul grows its business and its U.S. footprint in particular. Concierges will be able to provide customers across geographies with a greater number of choices, while reducing the risk of duplicate content or missing information.
