Hyatt Regency Sacramento Chooses PSAV to Manage Broadband

For the past 10 years, PSAV Presentation Services has been providing audiovisual and event technology services and support to the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. Today, PSAV is also serving as the AAA four-diamond rated downtown hotel's sole provider of managed network services property-wide, including the delivery of wired and wireless high speed Internet access to its 28,000 square feet of function space and 503 guestrooms.
 
"Bandwidth is in high demand at all times and at all hours of the day," says Scott VandenBerg, Hyatt Regency Sacramento general manager. "We experience heavy login usage in the evenings and mornings by guests, and more daytime usage by meeting clients when sold. By enabling PSAV to manage our broadband connectivity in addition to our event technologies, we now have a single point of contact for all things audio/visual and Internet related. Not only does this simplify the meeting planning process for clients, but it enables us to capture additional revenues with PSAV selling broadband packages for events.
 
“In addition, by authorizing PSAV to manage guestroom broadband, it minimizes guest challenges with logging in the first time," adds VandenBerg. "With a T3 line in place and PSAV as our in-house partner, bandwidth is no longer an issue, and we've barely scratched the surface of reaching broadband capacity."
 
PSAV combines a breadth of technology expertise on staff, who also provide direct-to-guest services right on site. This enables PSAV to control the availability of bandwidth around the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, whether it's needed by an individual in the guestroom or on a group basis in their ballroom or one of the 12 meeting rooms. Guests and meeting planners are only charged for what is needed to meet their needs and budgets, and make their stay extraordinary.
