HotelREZ Adds Staycity Aparthotels Paris Marne-la-Vallee

HotelREZ, a hotel representation, sales, marketing and distribution provider, said it has seen significant growth in the aparthotel sector, with the addition of Staycity Aparthotels Paris Marne-la-Vallée, a new property for the Dublin-based aparthotel group.

A member of The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers, HotelREZ has noted that apartment and related distribution systems are on the rise - by 2050, 68 per cent of the world’s population will be city dwellers. More families and professionals are now opting to co-share. The Global Serviced Apartments Industry Report (GSAIR) 2018/19 estimates there are now 1.02 million serviced apartments in more than 13,000 locations worldwide. The rate of supply grew by 23.7 per cent between 2016 and 2018, proving that apartment living is already a way of life.[1]

Staycity Aparthotels Paris Marne-la-Vallée, a new-build property built on a four-hectare greenfield site, opened this month [September] offering both studio and one-bed apartments as well as 12 four-bed villas sleeping up to 16 people and 10 five-bed villas sleeping up to 20 people.  The easily accessible property is ideally located close to Disneyland® Paris and the Disneyland® Paris Golf Course.

Tom Walsh, CEO & co-founder, Staycity Group said: “We are thrilled to be opening in this fantastic location with what will be our first resort-style property with extensive leisure facilities alongside holiday villas. Paris Marne-la-Vallée will particularly appeal to leisure guests and the villas will be popular with families or groups of friends, although our guests profile is still expected to be around 20-30 per cent corporate business. We are looking forward to working with HotelREZ to maximize the potential of this exciting property.”

Staycity’s aparthotels appeal to both business and leisure travelers who are looking for a more user-friendly, cost-effective alternative to hotels. Staycity now operates nearly 3,000 apartments across 12 European cities. The properties are made up of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments offering 24-hour reception, kitchens or kitchenettes, a dining area, sitting area and bathroom as well as complimentary Wi-Fi access, guest laundry facilities and weekly housekeeping. Most sites have car parking and many now offer a gym, guest lounge and Staycafé which sells breakfast, all-day snacks and drinks.

The company’s fast-expanding estate now includes properties open in Birmingham (249 apartments), Dublin (227), Edinburgh (145), Liverpool (268), London (541), Lyon (143), Manchester (182), Marseille (108), Paris (50), Venice Mestre (175) and York (220). HotelREZ is working closely with all of Staycity’s locations helping to drive incremental revenue to all properties through a fully integrated sales, marketing and representation service.
