Hospitality Technology Launches Restaurant Leadership & Insight Council Sponsored by HotSchedules
NEWARK , NJ, May 16, 2018 — Hospitality Technology (HT), the only media and predictive intelligence resource exclusively dedicated to helping both hotel and restaurant operators better employ technology to improve the performance of their businesses, today announced the launch of a new thought leadership group, the Restaurant Leadership & Insight Council. This intimate community is made up of a diverse range of technology executives from brands including Five Guys, Le Duff America, Garbanzo Mediterranean, Mellow Mushroom, Caliburger and others.
The Restaurant Leadership & Insight Council’s charter is to create a framework to help operators turn insight into action – without being crushed under the weight of an ever-increasing technology footprint. The council is comprised of 10 restaurant operators plus representatives from Hospitality Technology and sponsoring company HotSchedules. Members will meet four times a year to identify best practices and develop standards to share with the industry.
“We identified an increasing desire from the industry to create communities of interest within the hospitality segment,” said Abigail Lorden, vice president & group brand director of Hospitality Technology. “Through the development of these Innovation Councils, we’ve created a platform for executive IT leaders to talk about those opportunities and challenges, while cultivating best practices to share with the industry at large.”
The council will also focus on how restaurants can tackle the challenges associated with decentralized data and technology, online ordering and delivery integrations, reporting visibility and consistency, and intelligent insights that can help everyone in the organization make better decisions, faster.
“The caliber of leaders on this council is incredible. We see partnerships with these leading brands and the Hospitality Technology editorial team as an extension of our HotSchedules Customer Advisory Board,” said David Cantu, co-founder and chief customer officer at HotSchedules. “Today’s challenges are tough, and it’s going to take great minds from multiple segments to effectively innovate for the future.”
