HITEC 2016 NEWS: Samsung Showcases Innovations and Offers Immersive Experience with Smart Hotel Room
Samsung Electronics America is sharing its latest innovations at HITEC 2016 designed to empower hoteliers to offer the ultimate hospitality experience for their guests. Samsung is showcasing a lineup of products for the hospitality market featuring advanced technology, including its new lineup of hospitality SMART TVs featuring the world’s first built-in DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem, elevating the in-room experience for guests. The new LYNK™ REACH 4.0, HMS, and the latest in digital displays will also be showcased at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Booth #759, from June 21-23rd.
HITEC attendees will be fully immersed into the “Smart Hotel Room” with an opportunity to interact with the new 40- and 50-inch Samsung ND694 TVs featuring the world’s first built-in DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem. The SMART TV technology works with any existing hotel cabled infrastructure, providing over-the-top (OTT) content offerings for guests and operational content management control for hotel staff. Until now, SMART TV integration required hotels to shut down rooms for dedicated costly IP/Ethernet rewiring. The new 40- and 50-inch Samsung ND694 TVs allow hoteliers to easily upgrade the guest experience, as the DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem is built into the TV to enable SMART TV functionality using the existing coax cabled infrastructure found in most hotels today.
Samsung will also be demonstrating the new Samsung LYNK™ REACH 4.0 (Remote Enhanced Active Control for Hotels). Similar to its predecessor, the new software solution allows property managers to centrally control multiple Samsung hospitality TVs and display customized content through the newest displays in the entire Samsung Hospitality TV line-up The REACH Server and remote controller make it easy to update and adjust digital TVs over radio frequency signals to streamline time-consuming manual updates, as well as allowing interactive service using the hotels WiFi infrastructure.
Vertical solutions are displayed throughout at the booth to provide visitors with the ultimate guest journey from the check-in experience at the model front desk, through the mock hotel rooms, back office, business center, enhanced guest suite and cafÉ.
