Hilton Partners with American Express to Offer Hilton Honors Members Another Way to Earn Points

Hilton and American Express debuted co-branded credit cards. The new card portfolio was designed to give more personalized access, benefits, service and ways for Hilton Honors members to earn loyalty points. To that end, consumers have four card options to choose from, including Hilton’s first premium and small business cards.

“The card portfolio was designed with both frequent and less frequent travelers in mind, because we want every type of traveler to feel at home with Hilton," a Hilton spokesperson told HT. "Based on extensive consumer and small business research, the new card portfolio is designed to give consumers and small businesses more choice, more benefits and more value, so we made sure that our new portfolio provided four distinct options for each person’s personal travel needs.”

The credit cards offer a wide variety of Hilton Honors "perks" and chances to create/redeem high loyalty points. These perks are outlined below.

Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card

• Complimentary Hilton Honors Diamond status.
• Earn 14X Hilton Honors Bonus Points per dollar for each eligible purchase on your Card made directly with a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio.  
• Earn 7X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each eligible purchase for flights booked directly with airlines or amextravel.com, car rentals booked directly from select car rental companies, U.S. restaurants
• Earn 3X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for other purchases.
• Enjoy an Annual Weekend Night Reward from Hilton Honors upon signup and every year upon Card renewal. Plus, earn an additional Weekend Night Reward after spending $60,000 on purchases in a calendar year.
• Enjoy up to $250 in statement credits each year of Card Membership for eligible purchases at participating Hilton Resorts.
• Receive up to $100 in credit for qualifying charges at participating Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts with a 2 night minimum stay.

Hilton Honors American Express Ascend Card

• Complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status. Spend $40,000 on eligible purchases in a calendar year and earn an upgrade to Hilton Honors Diamond status through the end of the next calendar year.
• Earn 12x Bonus Points for each dollar of eligible purchases charged directly with a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio.
• Earn 6X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each dollar of eligible at U.S. restaurants,  U.S. supermarkets, & U.S. gas stations
• Earn 3X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for all other eligible purchases.
• Earn a weekend night reward from Hilton Honors after you spend $15,000 on purchases on your Card in a calendar year.

Hilton Honors American Express Business Card

• Complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status. Spend $40,000 on eligible purchases in a calendar year and earn an upgrade to Hilton Honors Diamond status through the end of the next calendar year.
• Earn 12x Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each dollar of eligible purchases charged directly with hotels or resorts in the Hilton portfolio.
• Earn 6X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each dollar of eligible purchases spent at U.S. gas stations, on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers, on U.S. purchases for shipping, at U.S. restaurants, on flights booked directly with airlines or with AmexTravel.com, or on car rentals booked directly from select car rental companies
• Earn 3X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for all other purchases.
• Earn a Weekend Night Reward from Hilton Honors after spending $15,000 in purchases in a calendar year.

• Earn 7X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each dollar of eligible purchases charged directly with a hotel or resort within the Hilton portfolio.
• Earn 5X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for each dollar of eligible purchases at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations
• Earn 3X Hilton Honors Bonus Points for all other eligible purchases on your Card.
