Hat Rock Inn Boosts Revenue by 20% with Cloud-Based PMS

Located in Mexican Hat, Utah, Hat Rock Inn is a popular 4-star hotel among travelers. Overlooking the San Juan River, this 43-room property offers many facilities including a private beach, heated salt water pool, a spa, etc. Based on guest reviews and recommendations, hotel aggregator Kayak rates this property as ‘excellent’ with 8.6 out of 10 rating. It also enjoys 4 out of 5 ranking on TripAdvisor.

According to Joy Howell, Owner of Hat Rock Inn, they couldn’t see their desired ROI with the earlier cloud PMS. It was a very basic PMS and lacked many operationally imperative features. “The application was slow, not user-friendly, expensive, and didn’t support multiple POS set up. Their support was abysmal, too,” Joy said.

On their decision to replace the old and restrictive PMS, Joy said that they wanted to grow and that was possible only with a feature-rich PMS. They reviewed a few cloud-based PMSs, but ultimately decided on Hotelogix. “It is now more than 3 years that we have been using Hotelogix, and the ROI is amazing. We have seen a 20% increase in both OTA and direct bookings which translated into 20% growth in our overall revenue,” Joy added.
