The Greenbrier Invests in Micros to Improve Room Booking Process
The Greenbrier, has selected Micros' myfidelio.net and its OTA and GDS booking features. The Greenbrier implemented myfidelio.net, a component of the Opera Enterprise Solution, on May 16, 2011, allowing the property to take full advantage of its user-friendly, integrated technology and reservation services.
Micros’ myfidelio.net empowers The Greenbrier to control 100 percent of its inventory from a single entry point, consolidating and distributing its hotel rooms through various sales channels including reservations booked directly through Opera, and those sold on the Internet and through third party channels. The myfidelio.net solution includes a seamless connection to four major global distribution systems (GDS), Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, and Worldspan, along with a large number of on-line travel agencies (OTA), allowing hoteliers to connect to thousands of booking portals and travel agencies to reach their local, regional, and international travel market in a simple to administer way.
“We are very pleased with our partnership with Micros Systems, Inc. and have strong confidence in its ability to provide us world-class innovative solutions,” says Mike Keatley, director of information technology at The Greenbrier. “Micros developed several key custom enhancements to enable The Greenbrier’s complex Opera Property Management System room inventory structure to interface seamlessly to myfidelio.net. These customizations allow our users the ease of centrally loading the same data and pushing it out to multiple channels, which translates to a cost savings for our property.”
